GRAND DESIGNS LIVE 2024

Grand Designs Live is one of the county’s biggest home events, showcasing innovative design, and offering expert advice on integrating sustainable technology with stunning interiors. For the first time, in 2024, the show impressed visitors with a purpose-built show home in ExCeL London, where Butler Harwell welcomed guests to the delights of Home Cinema entertainment.

SETTING THE SCENE

Cinema rooms are designed to block out exterior light and noise distractions, but of course, this was not an option with free-flowing crowds in ExCeL. Butler Harwell were, alas, tasked to find another way of creating the enchantment of home cinema.

THE RISE OF HOME CINEMA

Ten years ago, a cinema room might not have been the obvious feature in a show home. Today, however, home cinemas are a widely accepted part of modern living. Increasingly, families are recognising the value of shared experiences at home, with dedicated cinema rooms and flexible media spaces becoming central to bringing people together.
